House dust mites, as suggested by the name, are commonly found in dust; they are also known as a common cause of asthma and allergic symptoms. Their secretions, excreta and even decomposition after death could cause serious allergy. Various researches conducted by world’s famous medial organizations have confirmed that red eyes, itchy rash, runny nose, shortness of breathe and asthma are caused by house dust mites.
House dust mites are with 8-leg, 0.2 – 0.3 millimetres in length, they are tiny and can barely be seen by eyes. They are fed on food scraps, dust, pollen, fungi, and scraps from insects’ corpse or secretions from human body. The perfect breeding grounds for house dust mites are warm and humid (25 to 30 degree Celsius and hydration level at 70% to 80%). House dust mites could survive in bedding products such as mattresses, bed sheets, pillowcases, dolls, blankets, so as carpets, curtains, fabric sofas, etc.
